Read 4 Punishments Saraki Will Face If Found Guilty By Code Of Conduct Tribunal

Few days ago, the Supreme court ruled that the Code of Conduct Tribunal has a right to proceed with its trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Saraki is on trial for false asset declaration. If found guilty, the Senate President will

1. Be removed from office
2. Go to jail
3. Be barred from holding public office for at least 10 years
4. forfeit his assets to the state

All punishments are contained in Section 23 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.
