Read The Amount Budgeted For Daily Feeding Of Prison Inmates In 2016

What a shocker that the Senate on Tuesday, rejected the sum of N130 budgeted for the feeding of each of the inmates in prisons across the country.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Interior, Senator Bayero Usman Nafada, told the Minister of Interior, Retired General Abdulrahaman Dambazzau when he appeared before the committee that the budgetary allocations for the feeding of the inmates was too small.

"N200 was budgeted for the feeding of each of the inmates in our prisons. And if you remove taxes and contractors profit, only N130 will remain," he said. Dambazzau while responding said the ministry will look into it.
