The Fastest Player In El Clasico Revealed - Guess Who

Spanish publication Marca published a number of interesting stats after Sunday’s El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, including the fastest players and who ran furthest.

In terms of pace, Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué recorded a high speed of 33.33km/h. The highest of anyone on the pitch.

Real Madrid pair Marco Asensio (33.22km/h) and Cristiano Ronaldo (33.14km/h) lagged behind Pique in the speed rankings.

In terms of who ran furthest during the game, Marca reveal that Barcelona ran seven kilometres more than opponents Real Madrid, with full-back Sergi Roberto covering 12km – a record high.

Jordi Alba and teammate Ivan Rakitic both covered 11km. Interesting statistics indeed.

Who’d have thought Pique would be faster than the likes of Ronaldo and Asensio?

    That's the thing. People usually focus on the players that score the most when it comes to these kind of rankings but when u look deeper u may find others more skilled in some particular things.

    Wow....so where is mesi...not even in top three...i guess all players are important in terms of their various different talents n skills

    That's good to know, was even expecting Messi would be here and Gareth bale because they got speed as well
