28 Killed As Gunmen Attack Bus Carrying Christians In Egypt

No fewer than 28 have been reported dead and dozens more wounded after a bus carrying an unknown number of Coptic Christians in Egypt was attacked by gunmen in southern Egypt on Friday as they were driving to a monastery.

The attack which no group is yet to claim responsibility for, occurred when the Christians were headed to the Saint Samuel Monastery, located outside Minya city, about 220km south of the capital Cairo, when the masked attackers, who came in three pickup trucks, opened fire of them before fleeing the scene.

Provincial governor Essam al-Bedaiwy said earlier that 23 people had been killed and 25 wounded.
Egyptian security and medical officials told the Associated Press news agency that of the 28 dead, many were children.

Ten assailants wearing fatigues and face masks fired on the passengers from three four-wheel drive vehicles.

Currently all fingers point to the dreaded ISIS group, who vowed to make Egypt christians blood flow.
