More details about the negotiation that led to the recent release of the 82 Chibok schoolgirls from Boko Haram custody just keep emerging.
With 113 girls remaining yet to be released, a source has revealed to BBC, how part of the negotiation was the two million euros paid to the insurgent group..
Details of the deal which led to their release has remained sketchy except for the known Boko Haram members swapped with the girls.
But sources who spoke to the BBC on the condition of anonymity says the Boko Haram members “were accompanied by two million euros in cash.”
The source, who claimed President Muhammadu Buhari didn’t want to pay the ransom. said;

The source, who claimed President Muhammadu Buhari didn’t want to pay the ransom. said;
“Paying a ransom as well as swapping prisoners was a sticking point that almost unravelled the whole deal, with detailed knowledge of the deal.”
“It should have happened sooner, but the president was hesitating about freeing the five – and especially about the money.”
“Persuading him was very, very difficult. It was the most difficult part of the whole negotiation,”
“The ransom was two million euros. Boko Haram asked for euros. They chose the suspects and they gave us the list of girls who would be freed.”

So we now pay armed bandits to get freedom in this country abi? Baba never told us when he was promising the release of this girls that he was going to use tax payers money to do it. Smh.

My question now is....if the unity of this country can't be negotiated why then negotiate with terrorist...no physical infrastructure to be proud of but them get this huge sum to pay terrorist...... I believe if our military chiefs hands were not tight down by them politicians.....them for Don wipe this guys since
