Two days after suicide bombers struck in Chibok, Borno state, a suicide bomber attacked a market in the Gombi area of Adamawa state. A witness told BBC that he saw at least eight dead bodies, after the blast which happened at 12:00pm.
The casualty figures are still unclear, but Othman Abubakar, spokesman of the Adamawa State police command, said three people including the bomber were confirmed dead, while 17 others were injured. Gombi was one of the towns which security forces recaptured from Boko Haram in 2014.
