Inspiro Productions, a creative industry promotions outfit and organizers of Nigeria’s premier Jazz festival – The Lagos International Jazz Festival (LIJF) and other partners, are set to celebrate Lagos State at 50 years old on May 27.
According to the CEO of Inspiro Productions, Ayoola Sadare, the festival is major because “Lagos State is Nigeria’s centre of excellence, the melting pot of Nigeria’s various ethnic groups, Africa’s number one entertainment capital, the fifth largest economy in Africa among its other achievements.”
Acknowledging Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s vision and actions, he added that a special edition of the annual Lagos International Jazz Festival’s 50:50:50 is set to hold between April 28-30 at JAM venues.
This year’s event is tagged: “JAZZ Lagos@50”
Said Sadare, “50:50:50 JAZZ is our birthday gift to Lagos and Lagosians as it turns 50. As a first among equals in many respects, the state has every reason to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its creation.”
