A wealthy young Mexican man has been cleared of sexually assaulting a schoolgirl after a judge ruled that he apparently didn’t enjoy it.
Diego Cruz was one of four men from well of families in the state of Veracruz who were alleged to have abducted and sexually attacked a fellow pupil at their school as she left a party on New Years Day 2015.
The group were dubbed “Los Porkys” on social media after they were accused of the crime.
But in a ruling that was made public this week showed that Judge Anuar Gonzalez had decided the 21-year-old was not guilty of the crime because he had not acted with “carnal intent”.
Cruz was accused of groping the teenage victims breasts and a more serious sexual assault.
The judge also apparently found that despite the then 17-year-old victim being bundled forcefully into the car of one of her alleged attackers she was never “helpless”.
Two of the other suspects are accused of seriously sexually assaulting the victim.
