Assassins Kill Banker And 3 Others In Imo

Gunmen suspected to be hired assassins on Saturday went on a rampage in Umuka, Okigwe, Imo State, killing a banker and three other people..

According to Punch, those killed were 30 year old Enyioma Okwudiri, a bank worker; 38 year old Nanman Lamak,  from Plateau State and two other people said to be withdrawing money from an automated Teller Machine in the town.

Enyioma, also reportedly owned a guest house, Banex Hotel, Nanman and an unidentified female acquaintance were travelling together in a Honda Civic car when they were attacked around 9 pm.

The killers who were in another car cornered their vehicle and repeatedly shot the men before fleeing the scene. Witnesses said they did not steal anything belonging to the deceased.
“They cornered the vehicle, shot Okwudiri and Lamak continuously until they died. The gunmen did not take anything from them, not even their phones,” a source said.
The Transition Committee Chairman of the Okigwe LGA, Sunny Chiadi, who confirmed the killings said the gunmen could be hired assassins.
