It's Premier League week again and the league leader, Chelsea is set to host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in a match that could blow the title race wide open.
The Blues’ 12-match unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday when Chelsea were beaten 2-1 at home by Crystal Palace. Cesc Fabregas gave Chelsea the lead in the opening five minutes, but the home side were behind six minutes later after conceding two quick goals.
The results leaves Conte’s side seven points above Spurs, who face Swansea at the Liberty on Wednesday.
The match presents perhaps one of the last opportunities for Manchester City to re-enter the title race. With nine games left to play, Guardiola’s side find themselves 11 points from first.
City drew 2-2 at Arsenal on Sunday, with Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero netting for the away side.
Chelsea won the reverse fixture 3-1 in December. Aguero and Fernandinho both saw red while Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Willian all got on the scoresheet.
Team News-
Victor Moses is being assessed for a calf injury. The Nigerian is could come back into contention after missing Saturday’s defeat.
Pablo Zabaleta is likely to return to right-back after Jesus Navas deputised there at the Emirates. Bacary Sagna is a doubt once more with a groin strain.
Injured duo Ilkay Gundogan and Jesus Navas are Guardiola’s long-term absentees.
