Oga nobody is getting out of this thing ooo, we are all in this together oo...Back to the gist, an unidentified Nigerian man living in Germany, who was reported to have written to the Nigerian consulate declaring his intention to renounce his Nigerian citizenship, has gotten a reply.
The reply from the Nigerian consulate in relation to the letter sent to the consulate dated 13th March, 2017, referred the Nigerian man to the Nigerian 1999 Constitution Chapter 111 Article 29, Sub-Section 1-2.
The chapter of the 1999 Nigerian constitution stated that all prospective applicants who desire to renounce their Nigerian citizenship would have to go through the president who has the sole power to grant and renounce the citizenship status as established in the constitution.
