According to Daily Mail, a close friend of the pop singer revealed that the couple, who tied the knot in 2012, were forced to go their separate ways because their marriage wasn’t working.

The source stated;

“They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart. It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London.”

She was briefly married to singer James DeBarge in 1984 and later married her back-up dancer, Rene Elizondo in 1991 after splitting from Debarge in 1985. Jackson and Elizondo later divorced in 2000.
