EFCC Seizes Patience Jonathan’s N2BN Five-Storey Hotel In Abuja

The EFCC and former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, saga continues as they have seized a five-storey hotel along Mabushi-Kado road in Abuja, suspected to be owned by her.

Apart from the hotel, the EFCC also seized three other properties in Abuja owned by Mrs Jonathan.

According to PUNCH, the graft-fighting agency has not officially valued the hotel, it is believed to be worth over N2 billion. The property is believed to have between 50 and 100 rooms as well as a gymnasium.

A mechanic who works at a nearby petrol station told the newspaper that Mrs Jonathan used to visit the hotel but has not been seen in the area since January.
“She used to come here frequently but she has not come in the last six months. The hotel is supposed to have been opened for business but for some reason, they have not done so. It has not even been given a name yet.”
The commission also seized Mrs. Jonathan’s properties in Karsana, Wasa and Idogwari areas of Abuja. There are indications that some of her properties in Port Harcourt and Yenagoa will also be seized.
