The teenager, Osaivbie, who is a student of Queens College Lagos and is visually impaired, is highly intelligent.
According to Facebook user, Victor Oshioke who shared a video of the birthday celebration, the birthday girl, whose brother and father are also visually challenged met the former governor and his wife Iara Oshiomole a few years ago and since then, they have remained very close.
It was gathered that from the moment they met, the responsibility for the 15-year-old’s education and personal needs have been taken over by the Oshiomoles and she has been fondly refer to her as their daughter.
On June 7, which was the lady’s birthday, the former governor decided to honour her in a grand style by paying her a surprise visit in their family home with a beautiful cake to celebrate the special day.
