Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Bonsu, who has been sacked by his team Gefle IF, is on the verge of being vindicated over r*pe charge leveled against him by his wife in Sweden.
Bonsu, who was on Friday sentenced to two years in prison and asked to pay $28,000 to the lady, after his wife reported him for an alleged rape and assault could be cleared of any wrongdoing after a video released by fellow countryman Nasiru Mohammed who also plays in Sweden surfaced.
In the video, which show the faces of the couple, Bonsu’s wife can be heard clearly acting as a “gold digger” indicating she only married the 22-year-old because of his money.
The revelation could have the punishment imposed on the midfielder being overturned as he looked to have been vindicated.
