The 19-year-old daughter of an aspiring councillor under the auspices of APC in Lagos, Mr Bode Adeosun, Bukola Adeosun, who was kidnapped on Tuesday evening, has been released.
Bukola, who was released and dumped by her abductors in the wee hours of Friday, on Damegoro Street, Mushin, was found blindfolded and unconscious, with her hands and legs tied up with a rope.
It was learned that her release came amid speculations that her father had transmitted a letter of withdrawal from the councillorship race to the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), a condition given by the kidnappers to effect release of his daughter.
The Nation reporter, in a telephone call with Adeosun at 2:06 AM, confirmed the development, saying she is currently being treated in an undisclosed hospital.
