There are indications that some government officials may have been travelling to the United Kingdom to seek the direct approval of President Muhammadu Buhari for some of their tasks and projects.
The president, believed to be recuperating in his London location, is however said to have turned back such persons and refused to sign files presented to him.
A Nigerian newspaper believed to have strong ties to a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is reporting that some ministers and presidential aides who travelled to London were also prevented from seeing the president who directed that they be advised to report to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo.
Sources in London were said to have revealed that President Buhari maintained that his administration ran a single presidency and since there was an Acting President in place, he would not tolerate attempts to create a division.
The Nation reports that one of the delegations that went on a futile trip to see President Buhari returned to Abuja on Wednesday a few hours to the signing of the 2017 budget by the acting president.
President Buhari was said to have directed that all files and documents be made available to the Acting President.
