Queen Elizabeth And Prince William Visit Survivors Of The Grenfell Tower Fire Disaster

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince William on Friday visited the survivors of the blaze that ripped through a London tower block, killing at least 30 people and leaving many more unaccounted for.

The Queen and her grandson, met survivors, volunteers, local residents and community workers at a fitness centre in Kensington, which is providing emergency accommodation for those affected by the fire in nearby Grenfell Tower.

Prince William talked emotionally about the inferno and described it as 'one of the most terrible things I have ever seen'.

While talking to Penny Appeal charity worker Taksima Ferdous, 31, from east London, The Queen said;
‘You have been incredible, please keep continuing,' and Prince William shook her hand to say thank you.
The Queen’s visit comes amid an atmosphere of acrimony and confusion.
