Following the viral statement by the Prominent Northern youth organizations, on Tuesday, June 6, in a joint meeting called ‘Kaduna Declaration, issuing a serious threat to the Igbo residing in the region urging them to begin making arrangements to relocate out of the North, many Nigerians viewed the scenario as a sham.
The groups gave the Igbo up till October 1, this year to leave the region and it has since increased the tension in the country.
Part of the statement read;
“From today, June 6, 2017, when this proclamation is signed, the North, a critical player in the Nigerian project, hereby declares that it will no longer be disposed to coexisting with the Igbos and shall take definite steps to end the partnership by pulling out of the current federal arrangement.
Watch video below;“This conclusion is necessitated by the realization that it since ceased to be comfortable or safe to continue sharing the same country with the ungrateful, uncultured Igbos who have exhibited reckless disrespect for the other federating units and stained the integrity of the entire nation with their insatiable criminal obsessions.

ReplyDeleteI don't even see why any sane igbo person would go and buy landed property that u know u can't run away with in the advent of insurgency in the North in the first place knowing how volatile the North can be when religious or ethnic sentiments are whipped. Too bad there's too much love lost already.
ReplyDeleteThe short time I did my camp in Kano it felt like I was shot back into the 50's. Their way of dressing and everything is so different from those of us in the south. We are a really different people in every way though.
