Alex Iwobi Reveals Excitement After Scoring As Arsenal Beat Bayern Munich

Nigeria international Alex Iwobi has revealed his excitement at his form in the preseason and he couldn’t hold back his excitement after powering Arsenal to victory against Bayern Munich in their International Champions Cup clash on Wednesday.

Arsene Wenger’s men had to come from a goal down to beat the German champions 3-2 on penalties after Iwobi scored at the death to give his side a lifeline.

Robert Lewandowski converted a ninth minute penalty to put the Bavarians ahead, but Iwobi, brought on at half time, rescued the Gunners from the jaws of defeat with the last action of the game when he met an Aaron Ramsey cross with a diving header.

The Premier League side then went on to defeat the Bundesliga powerhouse 3-2 via penalties, Iwobi among the scorers once again.

He has since taken to social media to express his delight with the result and his performance, saying:
“Good team spirit to get back into the game last minute and win. Nice to get a goal too #BIG17 #ArsenalInShanghai.”
The Super Eagles playmaker has been in blistering form for Arsenal in preseason so far, providing two assists and a goal in three games.
