How Governor Ambode Will Deal Decisively With Nnamdi Kanu If He Tries To Hold Rally In Lagos – Lawmaker Reveals

The lawmaker representing Epe constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Segun Olulade, has said the plans by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to hold a protest and shutdown Lagos will be resisted by the state government.

Olulade on Monday, August 7, described Kanu’s threat to hold a rally in Lagos as an empty threat.

He warned that Lagosians will not fold their hands and allow anyone disturb the peace that is enjoyed by residents in the state, The Independent reports.

The lawmaker told Kanu to stay away from Lagos, noting that the government will not allow anybody threaten peace and order of the state.

He said: “I think as a state, we will be ready to curtail any act of insecurity in Lagos State. We will not fold our hands and allow anybody to cause crisis and breakdown of law and order in the state”. 
“Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will deal decisively with anyone threatening to shut down the state. If any fellow is threatening to shut down our state, he should go back to where he is coming from. He is not welcome in Lagos state. Lagosians will resist it.” 
“The government of Lagos will resist it and we will ensure that nobody truncates the peace we enjoy in Lagos. I see his threat to hold a rally and shut down Lagos state as an empty threat. Lagos is not like any other state”
Emeka who is also a gubernatorial aspirant in Anambara State said threat made by the group that the November election will not hold if Biafra is not granted an independent status is nothing to be scared about, New Telegraph reports.
