20 Year Old Man Rapes 14 Year Old Orphan On Val's Day (Pictured)

For allegedly raping a 14-year-old orphan on Valentine Day, one Abdulsalam Olayinka, 20, was on Thursday, remanded in prison by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court. The prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aigbokhan, told court that the accused who is a trader, went to his friend's house but that the friend was not around.

"He then called the victim and dragged her to the top of the house and raped her. "The victim, who is an orphan screamed but no one in the house came to her rescue except her aged grandmother who stays with her".

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty. Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias ordered that the accused should be remanded in Kirikiri Prison and adjourned the case till February 24 for ruling on the bail application.
