Governor Wike Sacks Member Of State University For Defecting To APC

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has sacked Engineer Ndubuisi Nwankwo as a Member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru UniveOE) for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC. Nwankwo was a Member of the Governorship Inauguration Committee setup to usher in the administration of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike anchored on 'New Rivers Vision'.

He was later appointed a member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. It was gathered that Wike felt betrayed by Ndubuisi Nwankwo who defected to the APC thinking that the Supreme Court will nullify the April 11 governorship election in Rivers State as the election tribunal and appeal court had earlier sacked Wike.
