Breaking News! Another Chibok Girl Escapes From Boko Haram Captivity

Barely days after over  80 of the abducted Chibok girls regained their freedom in a swap deal between the Federal Government and Boko Haram, a presidential aide has revealed to BBC that one of the Chibok schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram Islamists in 2014 has escaped from captivity.

She was among the over 200 girls seized by Boko Haram from the north-eastern Borno town of Chibok town in 2014, leading to global outrage.

According to the Senior Assistant Media, to the President, Mr Femi Adesina, the girl was found by government troops as she made her escape.

No details have been given as to how she managed to break free of the Jihadists and the exact location she was spotted by the troops.

This brings the total number of girls freed so far to 105, after 21 of them were exchanged for Boko Haram prisoners in a swap deal in October 2016.
