The Director of Communications of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, has disclosed that there will be no mass at St Philip’s Catholic Church, Amakwa-Ozubulu in Anambra State, following Sunday's massacre..
According to Vanguard, Rev Father Hyginus Aghaulo, says the diocese would not disrupt on-going investigations in the church by forcing the security operatives out of the vicinity on the grounds of celebrating masses.
The priest added that the church will look for a alternative, pending when the police deems it fit to vacate the premises.

“There are many aspects to the Ozubulu incident and because it is a criminal offence, we are not going to pressurize the police to leave the church without completing their work.
“If the police remove the security gadgets mounted round the church, we will use it on Sunday; otherwise we will find an alternative place.
There is no way we can muscle the police out of the church.”
